Countdown... 10 Days to Go

Finished work at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Bath yesterday and am back in Poole training and preparing.

Have a few media interviews lined up and am also picking up some expedition food from a cross Atlantic rowing team.

Thank-you to Ben at TorQ fitness who has helped out with the nutrition aspect of the challenge. I will be using TorQ bars and yoghurts to keep me fueled during the challenge (www.torqfitness.co.uk)

Don Foster - Bath MP

Fundraising continues and Kick Off gets closer

Busy, busy, busy! This week I have met up with Don Foster, the local MP as well as Matt Banahan and Ryan Caldwell from Bath Rugby Club to discuss and promote the kayaking challenge. Not long now till I start paddling and sponsorship is coming in (although a long, long way to go - both in the kayak and to raise £100,000). Ran the Bideford half marathon last weekend and have the Bath half marathon on Sunday. Meeting in the Gypsy Moth in Greenwich on the evening (7pm) of 31st March (my 33rd birthday!) and heading off from the Ahoy Centre at 10am on Sunday 1st April. Hope to see some of you there! Martin
